This blog — let’s call it a travelogue, shall we? — is actually the thoughts and opinions of two snark gators who are related to the snark gators of my other site, Go Write Right Now.

The GWRN gators, Vim and Verve, typically snark about the entertainment industry: movies, TV shows, awards ceremonies, and such. They’re known to get on a rant about other topics too, but it’s mostly them bickering about what they’re viewing.
At the moment, they’re bickering about not being able to go on this trip. We’re ignoring them. (That’s Vim and Verve in the photo. See what I mean? You can check out more of their antics here.)
The gators of Quelle Heure Est-Il, Vif and Vrai, snark about all things travel: airlines, cruise lines, rail lines, cabs, uber drivers, the sites, the food, the fact that none of the street signs are in their native language. Whatever. If it has to do with travel, trust me, they’ll have an opinion about it.
They came along on this trip because they’ve been doing Duolingo and want to test out their progress. They agreed to let me do my own posts occasionally. I appreciate that.
By the way, in French, the names “Vif” and “Vrai” mean “bright” and “true,” respectively. Don’t let it go to their heads.
